That's right, Brian. So close. Not even sure if it was Wisconsin that knocked out MSU that year. I remember Notre Dame slipped in, too. If I remember correctly, the Irish lost the CCHA third-place game to NMU, which made NMU a "team under consideration" (which no longer exists) and actually boosted Notre Dame's PWR above MSU.
Seriously, they should tell everyone sitting in the top level to move down to the lower bowl right now.
They won't though, because they the prices were two-tiered.
They had a last-10 or last-15 criteria several years ago. I don't mind that they don't do that. Full body of work should be considered. Mavericks are a bubble team because of the way they played in a couple of those games. Other teams are in the same boat; at least MSU put itself in position to win a playoff title.
But if this game makes you nervous, you should be rooting for Wisconsin and UMass-Lowell tonight.

4th line creating a buzz for MSU
Not sure. Hurts having them out, for sure. Thought Casey Nelson played well last night. Thompson OK in limited role.
Mavs have the early jump. 5-1 shots through 4 minutes
Ferris shoots high off a rush after another strong forecheck by MSU. First media timeout. 14:13 to go.
